Franz Bileck
Franz Bileck (born July 18, 1926 in Vienna ) is an Austrian guitarist , composer and conductor - often quoted / written as F. Bilek.
repertoire
His repertoire includes classical music , jazz , flamenco and rock 'n' roll , Viennese song, Russian folk music with its balalaika, and much more. As a guitar soloist he could be heard on the early records of Peter Kraus , and he also accompanied Freddy Quinn , Karl Farkas , Heinz Conrads and Hans Moser on the double guitar with his Schönbrunner Schrammeln. He played the first 25 years of the post-war period at the Vienna Opera Ball . With his orchestra he has accompanied the wedding anniversary celebrations of the city of Vienna under 7 mayors since 1965, with his "Papa Bileck's Jazz Band the Wiener Festwochen still holds the Vienna Ball in Milan every year . In 1999 he received the Golden Decoration of Honor for Services to the City of Vienna .
