Franz Ermer

Franz Ermer (born October 13, 1886 in Kipfenberg ; † April 24, 1976 in Regensburg ) was a German art teacher, painter, graphic artist and draftsman.

Life

Ermer studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . He was an art teacher and professor at the old grammar school in Regensburg and co-founder of the Regensburg Art and Trade Association .

One of his merits is the revival of the local stone etching and tin etching work. Among other things, he created the “Heimatdankteller”, which was temporarily awarded as a special honorary gift at the Nordgau Days . His works have been exhibited several times, some of which are in the Regensburg municipal collection.
