Franz Hubertus Maria Amalo Siegbert von Dalwigk zu Lichtenfels (born February 18, 1830 at Boisdorf Castle near Düren , † June 16, 1896 in Düsseldorf ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Franz von Dalwigk zu Lichtenfels was the son of Karl Freiherr von Dalwigk zu Lichtenfels (1779–1855) and his wife Marie (1789–1866), born Freiin von Wymar zu Arzen. He received private tuition at home and was then at the Knight's Academy in Bedburg until 1849 , where he passed the Abitur. He then served in the 11th Hussar Regiment of the Prussian Army until 1860 , where he was promoted to lieutenant. Then he was in the papal army in 1860/61, where he took part in the campaign under Lamoricière and received the Order of Gregory . From 1861 he managed his manor in Kirchberg near Jülich . During the German war and the war against France in 1866 and 1870 he was a delegate of the Rhenish-Westphalian Maltese Cooperative in voluntary nursing.

From 1880 to 1892 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency administrative district Koblenz 3 (Koblenz - St. Goar) and from 1883 to 1890 of the Rhenish provincial council . From 1878 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Düsseldorf 12 ( Neuss , Grevenbroich ). He belonged to the respective parliamentary group of the center in all parliaments .

Marriages and offspring

Franz Hubertus Dalwigk zu Lichtenfels was married twice. From his marriage to Regina de Grady de Cronendaël (1840–1866) on May 1, 1862, the children came:

  • Maria (1866-1918)

In his second marriage on January 18, 1870, he married Elisabeth Geyr von Schweppenburg (1838–1905), with whom he had the following children:
