Life

Scheidl studied history, philosophy, geography and French as well as law and political science at the universities of Geneva , Paris , London and Vienna and received his doctorate in philosophy, law and political science. From 1924 on, he was a senior administrative lawyer on the Vienna Board of Continuing Education. As a private scholar, he published historical and legal studies. He joined the Social Democratic Labor Party in 1918 and the NSDAP on April 16, 1934 .

After the Second World War , Scheidl worked in private industry, but repeatedly lectured in labor law at the University of Vienna. On May 22, 1950 he became a member of the SPÖ and on May 25, 1950 of the Federation of Social Democratic Academics (BSA). In 1960 he resigned from the BSA.

In 1959 Scheidl had already published a polemic against Israel in the Schild-Verlag and networked with anti-Semitic propagandists. In the Federal Republic of Germany , Scheidl's book was confiscated after a preliminary investigation because it was in danger to the state . In the 1960s, he self-published the seven-volume history of the ostracism of Germany with historical revisionist theses. Based on questionable documents, speculations and speculations, he denied the systematic murder of Jews under National Socialist rule . The book Germany and the Jews was confiscated by the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office in 1968 and a preliminary investigation into violation of the Prohibition Act was initiated. A court expert in 1969 characterized Scheidl as "dominated by delusional ideas and completely deprived of the use of reason".

Scheidl's writings continued to be published by like-minded people, including in the neo-Nazi magazine Sieg , and were widely received in the neo-Nazi scene such as the AAARGH (Association des anciens amateurs de récits de guerre et d'holocauste).
