Franz Liebl

Franz Liebl (born January 28, 1923 in Heiligenkreuz , West Bohemia; † April 8, 2002 in Fischach ) was a Sudeten German author of the Egerland and Upper Palatinate dialect .

Life

Franz Liebl attended high school in Mies , about 50 km from his home in Heiligenkreuz. From 1942 to 1945, Liebl did military service. After the Germans were expelled from Czechoslovakia , Liebl came to Weißenburg in Bavaria , where he became a primary school teacher in 1947 . From 1957 he taught at the secondary school in Treuchtlingen and from then until 1973 as a teacher in White Castle. In parallel to his work as a teacher, Liebl wrote several works that were translated into English, French, Spanish and Czech.
