Franz Müller (born October 20, 1965 in Mosbach ) is a German director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Franz Müller first studied prehistory and early history before he began studying fine art with Gerhard Richter and cybernetics with Oswald Wiener in 1990 in Düsseldorf . He finished his studies in 1995. He began postgraduate studies in 1999 at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne . In 1997 he shot his first short film with intermittent breaks . In 1998 Madonna ist Löwe followed , in 1998 Six Degrees of Separation , 1999 Coffee x Café , 2000 Monte Carlo and 2002 the episode Father and Son for the omnibus film Friday Night .

His first feature-length film was the satirical film No Science Fiction , for which he received the advancement award for the best graduate film from the Babelsberg media awards . For his second feature film Die Liebe der Kinder (The Love of Children) , which was released in 2009, he received the Flying Ox , the main prize of the feature film competition at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Film Festival .

Franz Müller is co-editor of the film magazine Revolver .
