Franz Mallinckrodt

Franz Mallinckrodt († 1832 in Dortmund ) was a German politician and between 1812 and 1832 mayor and mayor of the city of Dortmund.

Mallinckrodt came from a family of respected Dortmund citizens who originally came from the wall tailor's guild and who have been guaranteed in Dortmund since the beginning of the 16th century. His nephew was the respected journalist Arnold Andreas Friedrich Mallinckrodt .

Franz Mallinckrodt was appointed Mayor on March 17, 1812 under Napoleonic rule. Even after the withdrawal of French rule and the fall of Dortmund to Prussia, he remained in office as mayor until his death in 1832.
