Franz Preuschen von Liebenstein

Franz Freiherr Preuschen von und zu Liebenstein (born March 8, 1845 in Sankt Goarshausen , † December 31, 1908 in Wiesbaden ) was a German gynecologist.

Life

Preuschen studied medicine at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , the Royal University of Greifswald , the University of Vienna and the University of Basel . From 1866 he was a member of the Corps Nassovia Würzburg . In 1869 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . From 1870 to 1877 he was an assistant doctor at the Greifswald Women's Clinic. He completed his habilitation in 1876 and became an associate professor . As a secret medical adviser he later lived in his native Oberspai , from 1895 in Wiesbaden and finally in Braubach . In the three emperor year he was elected to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina .
