Franz Schuessler
Franz Schüßler (born January 20, 1911 , † August 29, 1942 in Juschnewo , Kalinin Oblast , Russian SFSR ) was an Austrian ice hockey player of the 1920s and 1930s.
life and career
Schüßler played at club level for EK Engelmann Vienna . From 1930 he was also used in the Austrian national team and took part in the World Championships in 1934 and 1935 . He also played a game at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . The team around captain Hans Trauttenberg took 7th place ex aequo with the Hungarian team .
He was killed in August 1942 in Yuzhnevo near Rschew as a soldier in the German Wehrmacht .
