Franz Wilhelm von Podewils (* 1705 ; † 1768 in Schivelbein ) was a Pomeranian councilor .

Life

Franz Wilhelm von Podewils came from the well-known, in Pomerania closed worn- noble family of Podewils . His parents were the Dutch and English major, Herr auf Podewils , Rützenhagen (residential property), Glötzin and Groß Latzkow , Georg Joachim (* 1643; † 1719) and Anna Maria von Wedel (* 1643; † 1713). Georg Friedrich von Podewils was an older brother.

Career

From 1720 Podewils was the heir to Dolgenow and part of Klein Reichow, which he sold on April 28, 1746 for 24 years to Franz Hoyer's widow. On April 29, 1723 he was enrolled in law at the University of Halle . In 1729 he was an ensign in Infantry Regiment No. 25 (Rutowski) . On April 6, 1733, he sold his father's inheritance on the Groß Latzkow estate, and later acquired a share in Glötzin, which he also tried to bequeath to his sons. In 1737 Podewils was imprisoned at Colberg Fortress because he attacked his sister Louise Dorothea. In 1743 and 1748 he was named in the position of a Pomeranian government councilor.

progeny

Podewils had several illegitimate children with the maid Marie Elisabeth Möller . The connection resulted in two daughters and three sons, but they did not continue the tribe .
