Głodzino ( German : Glötzin ) is a village in Poland in the powiat Świdwiński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . Located 15 kilometers southwest of Białogard ( Belgard ), it belongs to the rural community of Rąbino .

history

The former manor house in 2011

The former manor village Glötzin with the Vorwerk Brandsorge (former Polish name: Węgliny ) is located on a hill of 126 meters above sea level. It was once a fief of the von Podewils family . In 1645 Lieutenant Colonel Podewils as well as Joachim and Christoph von Podewils owned the village. In 1767, Major General took Friedrich Wilhelm von Podewils the good in possession. After 1780 it belonged to Carl Erdmann Freiherr von Reitzenstein , Hofrat Friedrich Gottlieb Anderson, Daniel Ziemer and the Kanneberg and Klertner families. The owners continued to change until Glötzin was relocated after the First World War . The settlers came from the surrounding area, but also from West Prussia , Posen , Volhynia and the Upper Palatinate .

In 1867, 172 people lived in the community of Glötzin (in 27 buildings), mainly from agriculture and forestry. The number of inhabitants rose only insignificantly to 176 until 1939. The railway station was Groß Rambin (now in Polish: Rąbino ), 6 kilometers away on the Reichsbahn line Berlin - Stettin - Köslin - Danzig - Königsberg . Only insignificant secondary roads led from Glötzin to Schivelbein or to Groß Rambin and on to Belgard , in whose district it was until 1945. There was a forge and a shoemaker in the village.

Most recently, Herbert Ponath was mayor of the Glötzin community. Georg Maaß was in charge of the head of office of Groß Rambin, to whose district Glötzin belonged. The registrars in Groß Rambin were Johannes Steltner and Walter Schulz. The competent district court was in Belgard.

In March 1945, Glötzin was taken by Red Army troops with fire alarm . 1946 it came to the expulsion of the indigenous population after the village of Poland had been assigned.

church

There was no church in Glötzin itself. The village belonged to the parish of Arnhausen ( Lipie ) in the parish of Belgard in the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . The way to the Kirchdorf Arnhausen was 11 kilometers, and so it was a relief for the Glötziner when a new church was built in Groß Rambin in 1927. As early as 1914, Groß Rambin (with associated localities such as Glötzin) had become an independent parish, but remained a daughter parish of Arnhausen. The last German pastor there was Egbert Zieger.

Today Głodzino belongs to the Parafia ( Parochie ) Koszalin ( Köslin ) of the Diecezja Pomorsko-Wielkopolska (Diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland) - with its seat in Sopot ( Sopot ) - of the Kościół Ewangelicko-Augsburski (Luterański) w Polsce ( Evangelical Church of Augsburg) in Poland ). Services take place in Białogard in Kościół św. Jerzego (St. George's Church) instead.

school

In 1928, teacher August Steineke taught 15 boys and 19 girls at the Glötziner village school. He was the last headmaster before World War II . In 1939 a kindergarten was set up on Artur Bahr's farm.
