Role (German Röhlshof ) is a village (district) in the Polish rural community Rąbino (Groß Rambin) in the powiat Świdwiński of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is 14 kilometers northeast of the district town of Świdwin (Schivelbein) on the western bank of the Mogilica (Muglitz) .

history

In 1880 Röhlshof (also called Gastgrund or Rühlshof or Röhshof ) was a Vorwerk of Arnhausen (now in Polish Lipie ) and until 1945 belonged to the Belgard district . In 1939 there were 58 landowners and 244 residents in the village. The character of the place was that of a scattered settlement with many farms located far away from the town center.

Röhlshof was away from through streets, but near the railway line Berlin - Stettin - Köslin - Danzig - Königsberg (station: Nelep (Nielep) ). It belonged to the administrative and civil registry district Arnhausen in the district court area Bad Polzin (Połczyn-Zdrój) . The last public officials before 1945 were the mayors Dettmann and Schumacher, the head of the district Karl Griep and the registrars Walter Frank and Hans-Ulrich Pretzell.

The Red Army occupied the place in early March 1945, which came to Poland as a result of the Second World War . The German population was expelled . Today Role is part of the rural community (gmina wiejska) Rąbino .

church

Röhlshof was parish in the parish of Arnhausen, which together with the parishes of Langen (Łęgi) , Retzin (Rzecino) and Zwirnitz (Świerznica) formed the parish of Arnhausen. Thus the place belonged to the parish of Belgard of the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania in the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . In 1940 the parish had 2,140 parishioners, plus the parish Groß Rambin with 1,718 parishioners. The last German pastor was Egbert Zieger.

Today Role belongs to the parish Koszalin (Köslin) of the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland with its seat in Sopot (Sopot) of the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church ( Lutheran ). Church places are Białogard (Belgard) and Świdwin (Schivelbein) .
