Kłodzino (German name: Klötzin ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is located 12 kilometers north of Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the powiat Świdwiński and is part of the rural municipality (Gmina) Rąbino .

history

It was in 1370 when Margrave Otto bequeathed the village of Klötzin to the wife of Johann von Wedels von Schivelbein as a personal property. 100 years later - in 1479 - the place is cremated in armed conflicts between Brandenburg and Pomerania . In 1540, the Order of St. John with the princely office of Schivelbein also took over Klötzin, which in 1602 went to Junker Henning Reich and 20 years later to Lorenz von Wachholz, whose heirs presumably sold it in 1654.

In the 18th and 19th centuries the horse mail line Schivelbein - Körlin (now Polish: Karlino) ran through Klötzin. In 1843, 205 people lived in the village and the associated manor village Dolgenow ( Dołganów ).

In 1928 Max Ponath was the owner of the manor (856 ha). Klötzin was in the northeastern tip of the district of Schivelbein , which was integrated into the district of Belgard (Persante) from 1932 . Embedded in the ridge of the Pomeranian ridge with the nearby Klorberg (Kłorowka) at 177 meters above sea level. NN. it was a scenic gem, far from all through streets. The train station was Nelep ( Nielep ), 4 kilometers away on the Reichsbahn line Berlin - Stettin - Köslin - Danzig - Königsberg .

Until 1945 the municipality of Klötzin (the last German mayor Albert Klander was in office for 40 years) belonged to the district of Kreitzig ( Krzecko ). The registry office was also there, while the responsible district court was located in Schivelbein. On March 4, 1945, the Red Army marched into Klötzin. As a result of the war, the place came to Poland and the ancestral population was expelled .

Today Kłodzino belongs to the rural community Rąbino in the powiat Świdwiński .

church

The second oldest and probably most beautiful half-timbered church in the district stood in Klötzin. It was built in 1588 but was demolished after 1945.

Until the Second World War , Klötzin (with Dolgenow) was its own parish and as such a subsidiary parish in the parish of Nelep ( Nielep ). Thus it was assigned to the church district Schivelbein in the church province of Pomerania of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . The church patronage for Klötzin was incumbent on the manor owner Ponath. The last German pastor responsible for the parish was Georg Rößler in Nelep.

Today Kłodzino belongs to the Parafia ( Parochie ) Koszalin ( Köslin ) of the Kościół Ewangelicko-Augsburski (Luterański) w Polsce ( Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland ). The place of the church is Świdwin .

school

The newly built schoolhouse, which was in use until 1945, was on the way to Neuhof ( Trzebiec ) and Podewils ( Podwilcze ). It was known beyond the municipality for its important collection of beetles and caterpillars.

Personalities

The district administrator of the district of Belgard (Persante) , Walter Braun , enjoyed staying as a hunting guest in this area and was buried at his own request after his death in 1933 in the Klötzin cemetery.

Attractions

The ruins of the Klötziner village church from the 16th century and the old park from the 20th century are particularly worth seeing.
