Stare Ludzicko (German Lutzig ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is located seven kilometers northwest of Połczyn-Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ) in the powiat Świdwiński and belongs to the Gmina Rąbino ( rural community of Groß Rambin ).

history

The Pomeranian town of Lutzig (formerly also: Lutzke ) with its Vorwerk Neu Lutzig (now in Polish: Nowe Ludzicko ) is an old manor and farming village and until 1818 - as an exclave in the Belgard district - largely belonged to the Neustettiner Kreis . It was given to the von Glasenapp and von Manteuffel families as a fief and was divided into manor districts around 1700 . In addition to the Manteuffel family, the von Borke , von Krockow and von Wachholz families became co-owners. Lutzig had been in the possession of the von Zastrow family since 1749 , at the beginning of the 19th century Albert Bauk owned it, who sold it to Karl Bruns in 1836, whose family owned it until 1945. Neu Lutzig came to Georg Bruns through the division of the estate, and it remained in his family until 1945.

Next to the church in the village there are ruins of a former manor within a rudimentary park. The park dates from the second half of the 19th century (landscape park), the buildings were built at the beginning of the 20th century.

In Lutzig, which belonged to the Belgard district until 1945, 289 people lived in 1867, 424 in 1910 and 349 in 1939. Neu Lutzig covered 319 hectares , Lutzig itself was 599 hectares.

From Neu Lutzig, located on a mountain cone, one had a wide view towards Bad Polzin. Below the mountain was the Lutzig railway station on the Schivelbein – Bad Polzin railway with a connection to Gramenz – Zollbrück. This railway line is no longer in operation. A road connection existed on a side road to Bad Polzin or Groß Rambin.

Lutzig and Neu Lutzig belonged to the district and registry office district of Buslar and the district court district of Bad Polzin. The last head of office before 1945 was Fritz Rakow, the last registrar was Erdmann.

Towards the end of the Second World War , the Red Army took Lutzig in early March 1945 . The population was expelled and the place came to Poland . Today Stare Ludzicko is a part of the Gmina Rąbino (rural community Groß Rambin) in the powiat Świdwiński .

church

Lutzig had its own church since the 15th century. The small church was famous for its late Gothic winged altar with valuable carvings. Its frame is made up of both neo-Gothic and Renaissance elements. The altar also has a sculpture of the Mother of God with baby Jesus and two saints in the middle. The side wings are divided into two parts. One of the bells (cast year: 1576) had to be delivered in the Second World War , but was found in the Hamburg bell cemetery after the war and was brought to ring again in the tower of the Evangelical Church of Erkelenz in the Rhineland. In the 1980s, the 17th century church of Stare Ludzicko was demolished due to dilapidation and replaced by a simple new building on the old foundations. The old winged altar is said to have been deposited in a museum in Koszalin ( Köslin ).

Until 1945 Lutzig was a separate parish with Neu Lutzig, which was assigned as a daughter parish to the parish of the Marienkirche Bad Polzin . So she was part of the church district Belgard ( Białogard ) ( Ecclesiastical Province of Pomerania ) of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union . In 1940, 340 parishioners belonged to this branch parish of Bad Polzin. Lutzig's patron saint was the manor owner. Hans Paust served as the last German pastor before the war.

Stare Ludzicko now belongs to the Parish Koszalin (Köslin) of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
