Franz Xaver Schmidt (politician)

Franz Xaver Schmidt (born October 21, 1828 in Landsberg ; † September 17, 1914 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schmidt attended the preparatory class and grammar school in Augsburg from 1839 to 1847 . Then he studied until 1851 at the University of Munich Law . From 1851 to 1857 he was a lawyer in Landsberg and from 1858 to 1861 an accessist in Weilheim . From 1861 to 1863 he was District Court Secretary in Eichstätt and from 1863 to 1865 District Court Assessor in Beilngries . Between 1865 and 1871 he was a district court assessor in Eichstätt and from 1871 a councilor in Amberg . His final office was a higher regional judge.

From 1881 to 1890 he was a member of the Reichstag parliamentary group of the center and a member of parliament for the constituency of Middle Franconia 4 ( Eichstätt , Beilngries , Weissenburg ). Between 1887 and 1899 he was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
