The Frasdorfer Hütte is a privately run refuge at 950 m above sea level. NN Höhe above Frasdorf and Aschau owned by Cramer-Klett property management. It is located in the Chiemgau Alps 4.5 km northeast below the Hochries in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim . The Frasdorfer Hütte is an easily accessible, popular excursion destination on the alpine pasture of the Hofalm and can easily be reached on foot or by mountain bike and in winter with tobogganing or touring skis . The refuge offers a welcome break in every season, in summer on a mountain hike and in winter on a ski tour . For mountaineers, it is a possible base for tours through the Chiemgau Alps and on the Königssee-Bodensee long-distance hiking trail that passes here, the Maximiliansweg .
The shelter has been closed since 2019, and reopening after renovation is not planned for 2020 at the earliest.
