occupation

Frasquita is an Austrian musical comedy film by the Czech director Karel Lamač from 1934. It is based on the operetta of the same name by Alfred Maria Willner and Heinz Reichert with music by Franz Lehár (1922). In the main roles , Hans-Heinz Bollmann and Heinz Rühmann play the befriended men Harald and Hippolit.

action

Architect Harald and his good friend Hippolit are on their way to see his future wife, the fun-loving Dolly, whom he only knows from afar ; the two have never met each other personally.

On the trip, the friends get to know the exotic and seductive gypsy Frasquita, who turns their heads with her grace. Harald then changes his plan. Suddenly he no longer wants to continue the journey to his future wife; instead, he would rather stay (at least temporarily) with the classy gypsy. Accordingly, he instructs his good friend Hippolit to continue the journey without him. When he arrives, he instructs him to apologize for his own delay with Dolly.

So far, so good, everything is going according to plan. However, when Hippolit arrives at Harald's wife, what was predictable happens: Dolly thinks that he is her future husband Harald. This mix-up is not at all inconvenient for Hippolit, since Dolly is entirely to his taste.
