Alfred "Fred" Arbinger (born June 6, 1957 in Aldersbach ) is a former German football player and coach .
Career
player
Arbinger grew up in Lower Bavaria and played in his youth for FC Alkofen and until 1975 for FC Vilshofen (from which Klaus Augenthaler also came to Bayern ). Signed by Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich, Arbinger made his Bundesliga debut on that "black" October 9, 1976, when FC Bayern Munich suffered their biggest home defeat to date: In a 7-0 draw against FC Schalke 04 , he was second.
