Career
societies
Benson was with FC Amstelland and Zeeburgia before joining Ajax Amsterdam's youth boarding school . In the winter break of the 2004/05 season he moved from this to the Eredivisie representative Vitesse Arnheim . In this season he came to seven league appearances and was able to achieve his first goal in the highest Dutch league. in the following two years he was given regular service times. However, it was never enough for a regular place and he was usually left with the role of the joker. Shortly after the beginning of 2007/08, he therefore decided to move to the Eerste Divisie . With the second division RKC Waalwijk he signed a four-year contract on August 22, 2007. In the very first competitive game, he scored the first goal for his new employer. At the end of the season, 2nd place was reached and thus the qualifying round for promotion to the Eredivisie. However, this was not made and ADO Den Haag had to be given priority. In the 2011/12 season he played for the Polish first division club Lechia Gdańsk . He then returned to the Eredivisie and joined PEC Zwolle .
In the summer of 2014, Benson moved to the Moldovan Master Sheriff Tiraspol . At the beginning of 2015, the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest signed him . After relegation in 2015 , he left Rapid again. He was without a club for two months and joined VV IJsselmeervogels in September 2015 in the Dutch top class . In July 2016 he moved to RKC Waalwijk for the second time. After a year, his contract with the RKC was not extended. Benson was without a club for half a year and has been playing for ASV De Dijk in the Tweede Divisie since January 2018 .
National team
On May 17, 2006, Benson made his U-21 debut in the Netherlands in a 2-2 draw with Germany . When he won the U-21 European Football Championship in 2006 , he was nominated, but was not used.
