Freddy Lemmerer

Alfred "Freddy" Lemmerer (born January 23, 1970 in Liezen ) is an Austrian martial artist and bodybuilder , who appears or was a boxer , powerlifting fighter , bench press , Thai boxer and kickboxer . He has also been practicing ski jumping since 2003 .

In addition, he completed training as a cook, diet cook, nutritionist, kickboxing trainer, boxing trainer, ski jumping trainer, fitness trainer, aerobics trainer and Tae-Bo trainer.

Career

Born on January 23, 1970 in Liezen, Upper Styria, Lemmerer began training as a chef in his youth and subsequently became a diet cook . In the course of his career he was multiple national champion, as well as Austrian master in powerlifting. Furthermore, he was multiple Styrian master and Austrian junior master in bench press, as well as national champion, Austrian master and Austria Cup winner in bodybuilding. After an initial career as an amateur boxer , he started his career as a professional boxer relatively late and completed his first professional fight against Magomed Davudov from Upper Austria of the same age on November 24, 2007, at that time already 37 years old . Since his late start in his career, he has completed a total of 25 professional fights in Austria, Croatia , Italy , Switzerland , Germany and Hungary . His last professional match so far (as of January 2018) took place on September 23, 2017 in the Arena Savaria in Szombathely . Of his 25 professional fights so far, he was only able to win eleven, three of them by KO and four by TKO . He is an international Austrian champion in both professional boxing and kickboxing . On July 30, 2011, the then 41-year-old won the European championship in Thai boxing with a knockout win in the second round against Tomasz Środa from Poland .

In May 2003, Lemmerer, then 33 years old, also began ski jumping in Eisenerz . Within three weeks he made it from the children's hill (K 10) to a normal hill of category K 95 and on his 55th jump he jumped for the first time from a K 95 hill on the plasticized jumping facility in Ramsau . He was trained by Nik Huber, among others . With the Rottenmann ski club , to which he has belonged since then, he took part in the Masters World Championships in ski jumping for the first time in 2004 and achieved 3rd place in his age group, as well as the bronze medal for Austria. At the Masters World Championships 2005 in Villach he came up to 8th place and another year later at the Masters World Championships in Kranj he reached 7th place in the individual competition, as well as in the special jumping and in the combination 6th place together with Klaus Sölkner and Erhart Ruprecht, he made it to third place in the team ranking and the bronze medal associated with it. He was also able to convince at the 1st Summer Grand Prix in Villach and won this competition. He later succeeded in doing this at the Summer Grand Prix in Einsiedeln , Switzerland. In later years he became Vice-Master-Olympic Champion (2010) and Vice-Master-World Champion (2011) in his age group , as well as multiple Austrian champions between 2006 and 2010. He mostly celebrated further successes at the annual Masters World Championships. 2013 he took, among others, that of Ö3 initiated Ski Jumping Challenge Ö3 clock vs. Gregor Schlierenzauer participated and was the last jumper to reach 20.5 meters. Even today (as of 2018) Lemmerer is still active in ski jumping and among other things won the silver medal in special jumping on the K-30 hill at the 28th Masters World Championships in Villach.

In addition, the 1.72 m tall Lemmerer trains almost all sports that he does himself for competitions, including himself. He mainly appeared as a boxing trainer and supported a large number of athletes in several hundred fights. One of his protégés, Astrit Klimenta , caused a scandal in April 2016 when he bit his opponent, the Serb-born Andrej Pešić , in the ear during a fight on Munich Boxing Night .

In his hometown of Liezen, Lemmerer has been running the Fit 4 Fun fitness studio with an attached boxing training center for years .
