Freddy Milton Larsen Nielsen (born April 18, 1948 in Viborg , Denmark ) is a Danish comic artist and author.

Life

Milton originally worked as a teacher. He began his professional career as a comic writer and illustrator in 1972 when he and his brother Ingo Milton published their own Zenit comics as a daily crime strip in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten .

In 1974, Milton began to write articles and draw Disney characters for the Danish Disney fanzine Carl Barks & Co. , intended to honor the Donald Duck illustrator and comic book author Carl Barks . As early as the following year he began to design and write scenarios and stories for Donald Duck as a comic book author for the Dutch publisher Oberon . Subsequently, wrote and drew several times for Disney .

Milton was originally supposed to design the first comic book about the Olsen Gang for the Danish publisher Interpresse . A draft for it was published in the Danish comic magazine Kulørte Sider , but in the end it was decided on the Danish draftsman Otto Frello . Frello created a comic for the fourth Olsen film The Olsen Gang and their big coup, and Milton only took over the hand lettering . In the German edition of this comic album, some of his drafts from that time and also two finished pages in German of Milton's Olsen Gang comic were published in the appendix.

Milton drew a comic album for Woody Woodpecker (Danish: Søren Spætte ) in the 1980s and published his own series on the Gnuff family of dragons . From 1992 to 2000 Milton's large album series for the comic Dekalog over janteloven was released .

Since 2001 published six albums for the comic series Jomsvikingerne (Die Jomswinkingerer).
