The Fredriksskans IP is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Swedish city of Kalmar . The stadium gained national fame as the home of the football club Kalmar FF , which played its home games here for a hundred years. Among other things, the team competed in the stadium for games in the Allsvenskan . Today Kalmar AIK uses the stadium.

Frediksskan's IP was inaugurated in 1910. The stadium currently offers 8,973 spectators, 4,223 seats, the remaining 4,750 seats are standing room. The attendance record of 15,243 was set in 1949 during a game against Malmö FF . In the 2008 season the Kalmar FF won the championship and received the Lennart Johansson Cup in the stadium for winning the title. In March of the following year, the club also won the Supercup with a goal from Daniel Mendes with a 1-0 win over IFK Göteborg .
Kalmar FF planned the construction of a new, pure football stadium for up to 12,000 spectators under the title "Kalmar Arena". The city of Kalmar and the association want to share the originally estimated cost of 170 million Swedish crowns . After lengthy legal disputes that delayed construction and increased the price to around 250 million kroner, construction of the new stadium began in December. In June 2010 this was named Guldfågeln Arena due to a sponsorship agreement and after the end of the first division season in 2010 it replaced the old stadium as the home ground of Kalmar FF.
