Freitagzella is a small settlement in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It belongs to the Buchenau district of the city of Amt Creuzburg .

location

The state road 1017 records traffic in the settlement , which is about two kilometers west of Mihla on the northern edge of the Werraaue . The areas from the north bank of the Werra to the settlement are agricultural land before the wooded heights of the Werra lowland begin.

history

In 1802 the settlement in the Saxon-Weimar-Eisenachian office of Creuzburg was first mentioned in a document. In 1879 the place consisted of four houses with 18 inhabitants. The incorporation to Buchenau took place in 1925. In 1994 Buchenau became a district of Mihla with Freitagszella, and at the end of 2019 this became part of the Creuzburg municipality.
