Prussian Eastern Railway to Krzyż Wielkopolski (cross)

The Friedeberger tracks were after the First World War by the National Tourist Office Brandenburg operated. Its center was the then district town Friedeberg in Neumark in the eastern part of the Prussian province of Brandenburg on the right of the Oder. The district of Friedeberg Nm. was separated from the province of Brandenburg in 1938 and subordinated to the regional border mark Posen-West Prussia in the province of Pomerania .

Friedeberger Kleinbahn

The southern part of the district has been traversed by the Prussian Eastern Railway since 1857 in an east-west direction parallel to the course of the Netze river . The Friedeberg station, however, was 7 km south of the district town, so that on October 4, 1897, the district opened the normal-gauge Friedeberger Kleinbahn from the state train station to the city as a local authority and placed it under the management of the Royal Railway Directorate in Bromberg.

Kleinbahn Friedeberg-Alt Libbehne GmbH

In order to better develop the north of the district and to establish a connection to Pomerania, plans were then made to build another small railway from Friedeberg to Alt Libbehne, where it connected to the state railway line Arnswalde - Berlinchen - Soldin. Because this 30 km long route also ran through the districts of Soldin and Pyritz, a GmbH was founded in which all interested parties - districts and communities - could be involved.

The Kleinbahn Friedeberg-Alt Libbehne GmbH opened its line on July 15, 1902 and also had it operated by the KED Bromberg, so that a uniform operation was created, the center of which was the Friedeberg city station. From there in 1939 twelve trains and multiple units drove to the Reichsbahnhof, but no express trains stopped there. The route to Alt Libbehne was used five times a day. The last course book before the end of the war shows six trips to the Reichsbahnhof and four to Alt Libbehne.

Operation after 1945

After the takeover by the Polish State Railways (PKP), operations were initially completely suspended. Around 1950 passenger traffic on the Strzelce Krajeńskie Wschód (Friedeberg) –Strzelce Krajeńskie (Friedeberg City) route was resumed, although the two intermediate stops were no longer served. The further line to Lubiana Pyrzycka (Alt Libbehne) was not reopened, at least for passenger traffic, it was dismantled in 1961. Passenger traffic on the former Friedeberger Kleinbahn ended in 1962.
