Administrative district of Schneidemühl
The administrative district of Schneidemühl was rebuilt on August 1, 1922 in the Prussian province of Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia . It consisted of three non-contiguous areas of different sizes with a total of nine districts, which bordered the Prussian provinces of Pomerania, Brandenburg and Silesia to the east.
history
On November 20, 1919, the District President of Bromberg in Schneidemühl took up his new role as a government agency for the administrative district Grenzmark West Prussia-Posen . For the time being it administered all the districts and debris from the former Prussian provinces of Posen and West Prussia west of the Vistula and the Polish corridor, which were separated from the German Empire by the Treaty of Versailles . On October 1, 1938, after the dissolution of the Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia Province, the administrative district was incorporated into the Pomerania Province , but was given the name Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia for reasons of tradition .
