Friedel Thiekötter

Friedel Thiekötter (born June 3, 1944 in Neheim-Hüsten , † September 16, 2011 in Münster ) was a German writer and poet .

Life

Thiekötter studied German , Romance studies , philosophy and art history at the universities of Münster (Westphalia), Bonn and Orléans . In 1971 he received his doctorate in philosophy with a thesis on Rilke at the University of Münster . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Münster and from 1973 to 1975 lecturer at the University of Reims . He then lived as a high school teacher and freelance writer in Münster.

Friedel Thiekötter was the author of poems , novels , short stories and radio plays . While his early narrative works are realistic developmental novels that also deal with school life and the problems of adolescents, Thiekötter has mainly turned to the detective novel since the mid-1990s .

Thiekötter, who belonged to the Association of German Writers and the authors' association “ Die Kogge ”, received numerous awards during his lifetime.

Friedel Thiekötter died in September 2011 at the age of 67.
