history
The network emerged from the coordination committee of the peace movement , which dissolved on December 17, 1989 in favor of the new network peace cooperative. The precursor of the network Friedenskooperative was as central nationwide Planungssorganisation host of the large-scale demonstrations against the deployment plans of the NATO for cruise missiles and Pershing II and the Warsaw pact for SS-20 /21-nuclear missiles in the 1980s -Jahren.
In contrast to the coordination committee, the peace cooperative no longer decides on actions, but maintains an exchange of discussions and information as a nationwide network and continues to serve as a coordination point for joint activities of various groups. In addition to many campaigns and projects , z. B. organized some large-scale demonstrations at the then seat of government in Bonn, such as the demonstration on January 26, 1991 against the Second Gulf War .
