Friederike Krabbe
Friederike Charlotte Wilhelmine Krabbe (born May 31, 1950 in Bentheim ) is a suspected former terrorist of the Red Army Faction (RAF).
Life
Krabbe studied psychology, pedagogy and sociology in Berlin and Heidelberg from 1970 to 1973 and medicine in Heidelberg from 1973 to 1976 (each without a degree). During her studies she joined the Heidelberg Socialist Patient Collective (SPK). After its dissolution, some former SPK members, including Krabbe's sister Hanna Krabbe , went to the RAF. Friederike Krabbe also contacted the RAF.
Friederike Krabbe rented an apartment under a false name in connection with the kidnapping of the employer's president Hanns Martin Schleyer in the summer of 1977. During the kidnapping itself, she was apparently in Amsterdam with other RAF members . Among other things, the kidnappers demanded the release of Hanna Krabbe, who was arrested in 1975. Shortly before Schleyer's assassination , Friederike Krabbe and some RAF members left for Iraq . According to several former RAF members, Krabbe carried the code name “Käthe” within the organization, which appeared in documents seized by the police.
The former RAF member Monika von Seckendorff testified on October 26, 1997 as a witness in the main trial against Monika Haas that after Schleyer's kidnapping in 1977 she lived with Friederike Krabbe and Elisabeth von Dyck in a small house in Baghdad . A Palestinian informant from the Federal Criminal Police Office reported at the end of the 1970s that Krabbe had joined the May 15 terrorist organization around the Palestinian bomb specialist Muhammad al-Umari (battle name: Abu Ibrahim), one after the death of Wadi Haddad from his PFLP-EO resulting grouping. Umari, who served as an instructor to several RAF members, is said to have married her later. Krabbe is said to have stayed in Baghdad until shortly before the US troops marched in in 2003.
In 2008, Krabbe was one of the last four suspected terrorists, along with Daniela Klette , Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg , who were still wanted in connection with the RAF attacks. In contrast to the other three, her name was removed from the BKA's public wanted list by 2012 at the latest .
