Daniela Klette

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daniela Klette (born November 5, 1958 in Karlsruhe ) is a former member of the Red Army Fraction terrorist organization (RAF). The Federal Criminal Police Office is looking for her.

Life

Daniela Klette joined the Wiesbaden Red Aid in 1978 and met Wolfgang Grams and Birgit Hogefeld in the RAF support scene there, who became the leading figures of the third generation of the RAF in the 1980s . In the late 1970s, Klette was involved in the anti- NATO movement and in initiatives against the Runway West in Frankfurt am Main . DNA traces found in a getaway car indicate involvement in a firearm attack on February 13, 1991 at the United States Embassy in Bonn . On a letter from Birgit Hogefeld that was seized after the GSG-9 mission in Bad Kleinen , in addition to Ernst-Volker Staub's fingerprints , those of Klette were also found.

Due to insufficient official knowledge, there is no consensus on whether Klette might belong to the command level of the RAF in the 1980s and 1990s.

Assault and attacks

In addition, burdock is suspected to have been involved in the following events:

  • February 25, 1990, failed bomb attack on the computer center of the Deutsche Bank in Eschborn : A VW Golf that had been converted into a bomb did not explode because the time fuse failed. Burdock hair was found in the car.
  • March 27, 1993, explosives attack on the prison in Weiterstadt : In October 2007 the federal prosecutor's office confirmed the suspicion against Daniela Klette, Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg ; traces of DNA were identified from all three at the crime scene.
  • July 20, 1999, robbery on a money transporter in Duisburg : After the RAF had disbanded in 1998, there was a robbery in which more than one million German marks were looted. Saliva and traces of abrasion in a mask and in the escape vehicle lead to the assumption that Klette and Ernst-Volker Staub were involved in the attack. In this context, the BKA is also looking for the former RAF member Burkhard Garweg.
  • June 6, 2015, unsuccessful attack on a money transporter in Groß Mackenstedt : DNA traces of burdock, Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg were found in vehicles. The Verden (Aller) district court therefore issued an arrest warrant for the three people on suspicion of attempted murder and attempted robbery in January 2016. DNA of the three named was also found in another failed attack on a money transport in Wolfsburg in December 2015. According to the Verden public prosecutor's office and von Butz Peters , the acts have no terrorist background, but should serve to finance life in the underground.
  • June 25, 2016, robbery on a money transport in Cremlingen , with a loot of over 600,000 euros.

Manhunt

Klette belongs to the third generation of the RAF and, along with Garweg and Staub, is one of the three people who are still being searched for in connection with the RAF. Photos from the 1980s were originally used for the manhunt. In 2003, the Federal Criminal Police Office created mug shots from them , on which it artificially aged those wanted on the computer. Klette is on the wanted list of known persons of the BKA . The LKA Lower Saxony published new photos for the manhunt in 2016. A reward of up to € 80,000 is offered for decisive information that leads to a final conviction of Klette.
