Friedrich Schiedel Prize for Literature
The Friedrich Schiedel Literature Prize of the City of Bad Wurzach was founded in 1982 by Friedrich Schiedel , an honorary citizen of the City of Bad Wurzach . The award honors German-speaking authors of literary or historical texts who have succeeded in “masterfully combining history and language with one another and bringing history to a large readership in a historically unadulterated manner, be it as a non-fiction book or a novel” (lt. Self-presentation).
The award is presented every two years and is endowed with 10,000 euros.
