Friedrich Cammerer

Friedrich "Fritz" Cammerer (born May 12, 1882 in Garmisch ; † January 3, 1963 ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Career

After graduating from Luitpoldgymnasium in Munich and serving as a one-year volunteer in the 1st Bavarian Infantry Regiment, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Cammerer initially worked as a lawyer in financial administration at the governments of Upper and Lower Bavaria (Chamber of Finance) and at the general management of the Munich mines, smelters and salt works. From 1933 to 1935 he worked at the Chamber of Accounts in Munich and then moved to the Bavarian Court of Accounts . In 1937 he became Ministerialrat of the German Reich's Court of Audit, Munich branch, and took over provisional management in autumn 1944.

When the authority resumed its activities after the end of the war, he was confirmed in this position by the American military government on May 16, 1945 and appointed head of the Bavarian Audit Office on June 20, 1945 . He remained in office until March 31, 1952.
