Max Count of Lodron

Max Graf von Lodron (born January 21, 1757 in Munich , † January 4, 1823 in Munich) was a Bavarian nobleman and administrative officer .

Life

Max was the son of Hieronymus Anton Maria Graf zu Lodron (1728–1789), electoral treasurer and auditor in Munich. He came from the Bavarian line of the noble Lodron family . In 1772 he graduated from the Munich Jesuit high school. After the death of Hieronymus in 1789 Maximilian inherited the Hofmark Haag an der Amper , his brother Josef became a Knight of Malta. He held many offices, so he was u. a. Carer of Vilsbiburg , carer of Wolfratshausen and 1807 President of the Church Administration Council. 1808 was General Commissioner of the Innkreis in Innsbruck . He was captured and interned at the beginning of the Tyrolean uprising . He was not released until 1810. When Regensburg was taken over by Bavaria from 1810 to 1817, he became the first general commissioner of the Regenkreis ( Upper Palatinate ), based in Regensburg. In 1817 Maximilian was still President of the Supreme Audit Office . He died in Munich on January 4, 1823 and was the last Count of Lodron to be buried in Haag.

Maximilian married Therese von Helmstädt around 1779.
