Karl Krampol

Karl Krampol (born December 14, 1928 in Brno , † September 7, 1997 in Bad Reichenhall ) was a German administrative lawyer and district president of the Upper Palatinate .

Life

Karl Krampol studied law after the Second World War and entered the Bavarian government after completing his studies. In 1970 he became chief police director at the management of the Bavarian riot police in Munich. Krampol had been the regional president of the Upper Palatinate since 1981 . During this time the disputes about the Wackersdorf reprocessing plant took place . In 1985, Krampol enforced the WAA building permit by issuing instructions. During the intensifying demonstrations in an interview with Der Spiegel in 1987, however, he pointed out that the overwhelming majority of the resisters were “decent, brave, law-abiding democrats”. Krampol retired in 1993.
