Georg Karl von Welden

Georg Karl von Welden (* 1801 in Schonungen ; † July 24, 1857 in Munich ) was a Bavarian landowner and administrative officer .

Life

Georg Karl von Welden was a member of the noble von Welden family , which was given the rule of Laupheim after the Peasants' War in 1582. The Austrian Feldzeugmeister Ludwig von Welden was his uncle.

After studying law in Göttingen, Georg Karl joined the Bavarian government in 1826 (as an assessor in the Obermainkreis ). In 1847 he became district president in the Upper Palatinate and in the same year of Middle Franconia . From 1849 he was the district president of Swabia and Neuburg . He held this office until 1857.

Georg Karl von Welden was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies 1840–1843 and 1855–1856.
