Gustav Rohmer

Gustav Rohmer (born October 27, 1868 in Nördlingen , † March 14, 1946 in Munich ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer as well as district president.

Life and work

Gustav Rohmer was the son of Ernst Rohmer , the owner of CH Beck 's book printing and bookshop in Nördlingen. Rohmer studied law in Erlangen and Munich. During his studies in 1886 he became a member of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . He received his doctorate as Dr. jur. on "The legal nature of the noble tax privilege and its scope according to the state law of Bavaria".

At times he continued the series (" Landmann / Rohmer ") of his father, but entered the Bavarian civil service in 1894 and became Bavarian Legation Secretary 1st class in 1902, Legation Councilor in 1906 and Legation Councilor in 1910. In 1907/08 he worked as a private lecturer at the TH Munich . During the First World War he served from 1914 to 1916 in the 6th Royal Bavarian Reserve Division and subsequently worked as a major in the reserve in the Bavarian War Ministry. In 1918 he was appointed ministerial director and in 1922 to the State Council. From August 1919 to June 30, 1928 he was Bavaria's deputy representative to the Reichsrat . From 1928 to 1933 he was the district president of the district government of Middle Franconia , from the beginning of 1933 also for a short time of Upper Franconia as a result of the amalgamation of both governments. In April 1933 he was retired "because of changes in the political situation". He died in Munich in 1946 .
