Friedrich Stahler

Friedrich Stahler (born March 27, 1908 in Frankenthal (Palatinate) , † September 1, 1978 in Bayreuth ) was a German administrative lawyer in Bavaria.

Life

Stahler studied law at the Prussian University of Greifswald and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . With Otto Rohlederer he became active in the Corps Makaria Munich in 1927 . In 1932 it was inactivated . As a trainee lawyer in 1934 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He entered the Bavarian administrative service in 1935 and joined the government in Upper Bavaria as an assessor . From 1939 he was a soldier in the Wehrmacht and took part in the Second World War. He was taken prisoner of war , from which he was released in 1947. In the post-war period after World War II in Germany , he worked for the Bavarian Administration of State Palaces, Gardens and Lakes . In 1948 he became district administrator of the district of Bad Aibling . From 1957 to 1973 he was the district president of the government of Upper Franconia . He supported the establishment of the University of Bayreuth . He died on the day of the Staffelstein-Kommerses , whom he had loved since his youth.

Stahler created an elaborate card index of all students from the Palatinate (Bavaria) up to the 20th century, 30 printed articles and a further 36 manuscripts, 13 of which deal with student history and 20 with the history of his corps.
