Nikolaus von Koch
Nikolaus Ritter von Koch , also: Nicolaus Ritter von Koch (* 1807 in Ebern , Lower Franconia, † January 19, 1866 in Munich ), was a Bavarian politician and minister of education (1864–1866).
Life
In 1863 Nikolaus von Koch became the regional president of Upper Franconia, succeeding the late Friedrich von Podewils .
Nikolaus von Koch was Bavarian Minister of Culture from 1864 to 1866 (Minister of State for Church and School Affairs) as the successor to Theodor von Zwehl . Von Koch continued the preparatory work on extensive, renewed school regulations for the higher education institutions in Bavaria by his predecessors Friedrich von Ringelmann and Theodor von Zwehl.
In the years 1865/1866 he represented the vacant Ministerial Chair of the Interior.
