Hans Angerer (civil servant)

Hans Angerer (born December 4, 1941 in Berchtesgaden ; † November 27, 2012 in Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer and civil servant . From 1998 to 2006 he was regional president of Upper Franconia .

Career

After graduating from high school in Berchtesgaden in 1960, Angerer began studying law at the University of Munich (LMU). In 1966 he passed his first state examination in law and worked as a research assistant at the law faculty of the LMU during his legal traineeship. After the second state examination, he entered the Bavarian administration in 1972 and worked for the government of Upper Bavaria and the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior . In 1976 he moved to the Starnberg District Office for two years .

In 1979 he returned to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, where he held several positions. He was initially an employee in the ministerial office, later personal assistant to the minister, budget officer and finally head of the municipal department. From 1985 to 1998 he was part of the board of directors of the Maximilianeum Foundation in Munich with his wife . From 1998 to 2006 he was President of the Upper Franconian government.

For his services, Angerer was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany and in 2006 the Bavarian Order of Merit and the City of Bamberg's Medal.

Hans Angerer was married to the former President of the Regional Court and the current Ethics Council member Constanze Angerer .
