Karl Riedl (lawyer)

Karl Riedl (born October 10, 1907 in Inkofen , Mallersdorf District Office ( Lower Bavaria ), today to Rottenburg an der Laaber ; † 1985 ) was a German lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in Amberg , he studied classical philology and history from 1927 to 1931 as a scholarship holder of the Maximilianeum Foundation , then law . He then worked in the judicial service and as a public prosecutor in Coburg , Bamberg and at the Munich Special Court .

From 1946 to 1972 he was an employee of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior . There he was appointed Ministerial Director in 1957 . At the same time he was also head of the Bavarian border police from 1948 to 1972 .

From 1950 to 1985 he was a board member of the Maximilianeum Foundation, from 1967 to 1980 a member of the board of trustees of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich and from 1972 to 1976 a member of the Bavarian Broadcasting Council .
