Johann von Pechmann

Wilhelm Johann Nepomuk (Hans) Freiherr von Pechmann (* 1809 ; † February 24, 1868 in Munich ) was a Bavarian politician.

Life

Johann von Pechmann studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1827 he became a member of the Corps Bavaria Munich . The later Bavarian State Minister Maximilian von Neumayr was one of his co-workers at Bavaria . After completing his studies, he was first a district judge in Berchtesgaden from 1843 to 1846 , then in Landshut and subsequently a police director in Munich. In 1850 he moved to the government of Lower Bavaria as a councilor . In 1858 he was appointed director of the government of Upper Franconia . In 1863 he was appointed regional president of Middle Franconia . From August 1, 1866 until his death, he was Minister of State of the Interior in the state government of the Kingdom of Bavaria , initially in the Pfordten II cabinet and from the end of 1866 in the Hohenlohe cabinet . He was the Royal Bavarian Chamberlain and Bavarian State Councilor in the ordinary course.

His daughter Maria Josepha Ema Sophia Maximiliana Franziska married the painter Friedrich Adolph Hornemann on September 24, 1843 .
