Franz Wein

Franz Wein (born July 31, 1884 in Landshut , † April 1, 1954 in Regensburg ) was a German administrative lawyer and former district president of Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate .

Career

Wein received his doctorate in 1908. After passing the major state examination in 1910, he entered the Bavarian administration. From 1920 to 1928 he was a district administrator in the Fürstenfeldbruck district office . In 1928 he joined the government of Lower Bavaria as a councilor . From 1933 to 1938 he was district administrator in Beilngries , and from 1938 to 1945 he was a member of the government of Regensburg.

Since he was not a member of the NSDAP , he returned to his post in July 1945. After Ernst Falkner's resignation , he was appointed President of Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate on October 23, 1945 . On December 1, 1947, he was appointed official regional president in Regensburg. He retired on April 1, 1952.
