Friedrich Giehl

Friedrich Giehl (born November 2, 1933 in Ingolstadt ) is a German administrative lawyer and former district president of Lower Bavaria .

Life

Friedrich Giehl studied law, political science and history in Munich , Berlin and Würzburg . After receiving his doctorate, he entered the civil service in 1961. In 1964 Giehl was transferred to the State Ministry of the Interior. After holding positions at the Supreme Building Authority in the areas of “Urban Development and Planning Law” and “Constitutional, Administrative and Electoral Law”, he headed the “Constitution and State Administration” department in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior from 1981. From 1992 to 1998 he was the district president of Lower Bavaria .
