Karl Joseph von Künsberg-Langenstadt

Karl Joseph Georg Freiherr von Künsberg-Langenstadt (born February 21, 1799 in Bamberg ; † January 21, 1863 ibid) was a Bavarian landowner and administrative officer .

Life

Karl Joseph von Künsberg-Langenstadt was a member of the Franconian aristocratic Künsberg family with estates in Oberlangenstadt , Unterlangenstadt , Nagel and Tüschnitz . After attending grammar school in Nuremberg, he studied camera science in Erlangen and Würzburg . During his studies in 1816 he became a member of the Teutonia Erlangen fraternity , in 1817 a member of the Franconian Landsmannschaft and in 1818 a member of the Old Würzburg fraternity Germania .

After graduating in 1821, he joined the Bavarian government. In 1824 he became a state bankrupt and a chancellery, in 1825 a councilor in the government of Upper Bavaria and in 1828 he was employed in the Ministry of the Interior . After working in 1830 as an adjunct in the District Court Aschaffenburg , 1831 Regierungsassessor in Bayreuth , 1832 as county judge in Brückenau , he became in 1837 Councilor in the government of Upper Palatinate . In 1838 he worked in the same position in the government of Upper Franconia and in 1846 in the government of Lower Bavaria . In 1847 he became President of Lower Bavaria, but shortly afterwards fell out of favor with the king, with the result that he was demoted to Vice-President. In 1849 he was the district president of the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg until his death in 1863 . He was a royal Bavarian chamberlain.

He was married to Therese Freiin von Cunibert and had a son and two daughters.
