Karl Theodor von Lutz

Karl Theodor Lutz , since 1904 Ritter von Lutz (born January 15, 1842 in Würzburg , † April 25, 1905 in Regensburg ) was a German politician and administrative lawyer .

Life

After studying law, Karl Theodor Lutz joined the Bavarian government from 1859 to 1863 in Würzburg. He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1887 to 1892 (resigned at the end of 1887 because of promotion to the Royal Council of the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg District Government, Chamber of the Interior, re-elected in 1888). From 1899 until his death in 1905 he was the regional president of the Upper Palatinate . After Lutz had received the Knight's Cross IV. Class of the Order of Merit from St. Michael in 1895 , Prince Regent Luitpold awarded him the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown . Associated with this was the elevation to the personal nobility status and he was allowed to call himself “Ritter von Lutz” after his entry in the nobility register .
