Hubert von Gumppenberg

Hubert Freiherr von Gumppenberg-Peuerbach (born October 26, 1855 in Munich , † June 23, 1938 in Peuerbach ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Hubert came from the von Gumppenberg family . He was a son of the Bavarian Lieutenant General Maximilian von Gumppenberg (1825-1916) and his wife Theresia, née Freiin von Brandt (1831-1914)

Gumppenberg graduated from the pagerie in 1869 and graduated from high school in 1875. He then studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University . After the state bankruptcy, he entered the Bavarian judicial and administrative service. In 1883 he was District Office Assessor in Bergzabern , in 1891 Government Assessor in the Government of Swabia , in 1894 District Administrator in Wasserburg am Inn and in 1897 Government Councilor in the Government of Lower Franconia (Chamber of the Interior). In 1912 he became government director in the government of Lower Bavaria (Chamber of the Interior) and deputy to the regional president. In 1918 he was regional president of the Upper Palatinate and retired in 1921 at his own request.

He was a chamberlain, Herr auf Peuerbach and had received the Cross of Honor of the Order of Merit of St. Michael and the Commander's Cross of the Second Class of the Order of Henry the Lion for his work .

Gumppenberg married Elisabeth Freiin von Loë (1872–1949) on November 5, 1898 in Münster . The three daughters Theresia (* 1899), Eugenie (* 1901) and Elisabeth (* 1902) emerged from the marriage.
