Hermann Edler von Gäßler

Hermann Edler von Gäßler (born October 12, 1876 in Nördlingen , † February 22, 1960 in Regensburg ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

After studying law, he entered the Bavarian state services (state bankruptcy in 1903). Since 1925 he was a senior councilor in the government of the Upper Palatinate (Chamber of the Interior). As Vice President of the Government of Lower Bavaria and Upper Palatinate , from November 1938 to September 1939 and from the end of May 1940 to February 1943, he was also responsible for the management of the government, since District President Friedrich Wimmer had been General Commissioner for Administration and Justice under Reich Commissioner Seyß- since May 1940 Inquart occupied a central position in the occupation administration of the Netherlands. On February 10, 1943 Gäßler was put into retirement on application. He last lived in Regensburg.

He had been a member of the NSDAP since May 1, 1933 (No. 3,654,659).
