Walter Zitzelsberger

Walter Zitzelsberger (born April 18, 1942 in Vienna ) is a German administrative lawyer and former district president of Lower Bavaria .

Life

Walter Zitzelsberger was born in Vienna during the war . He soon came to Bavaria with his family and grew up in the Eichstätt district . After graduating from high school, he studied law and economics in Munich. Among other things, he was active in the government of Upper Bavaria and the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior. He was Vice President of the Government of Lower Bavaria for four years , then President of the Government from 1998 to 2007.

Since 2017, Zitzelsberger has been on the board of the Lower Bavaria / Swabia district association of the Bavarian Red Cross alongside Bernd Silber and District Administrator Tanja Schwaiger .
