Herbert Zeitler (administrative lawyer)

Herbert Zeitler (born October 31, 1927 in Regensburg ) is a German administrative lawyer and former district president of Lower Bavaria .

Life

Herbert Zeitler was the son of a civil servant and grew up in Landshut from 1932 and in Munich from 1934 , where he also completed his law degree. After completing his doctorate, he entered the civil service in 1955. Among other things, he worked at the Supreme Building Authority and in the municipal department and as a budget officer in the State Ministry of the Interior. 1970 to 1972 he was Vice President of the Government of Upper Bavaria. From 1973 he headed the “Law, Planning and Construction Technology” department of the Supreme Building Authority for 15 years. From 1987 to 1992 he was the district president of Lower Bavaria . In retirement he moved back to Gauting near Munich.
