Felix Friedrich von Lipowsky
Felix Friedrich Ritter von Lipowsky (born June 3, 1824 in Oettingen in Bavaria , † January 26, 1900 in Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Bavaria.
Life
Lipowsky studied law after graduating from high school in 1842 at the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1843 he became active in the Corps Bavaria Munich . In 1849 he passed state bankruptcy. He came to Moosburg an der Isar as a regional court assessor (1854) and as a ministerial secretary to the Royal Bavarian Ministry of the Interior (1858). Since 1862 chief commissioner and representative of the Munich police director, in 1866 he became government councilor and head of the Munich police department . In 1868 he became Ministerialrat in the Ministry of the Interior and (until 1869) Secretary of King Ludwig II.After the establishment of the German Empire , he was the district president in Lower Bavaria from 1871 to 1895 .
The city of Landshut granted him honorary citizenship in 1880 . He was also a co-founder and the first chairman of the first district fishing club in Bavaria.
family
In 1854 he married Ernestine, daughter of the Munich district judge Eder. Children were born from marriage. He cared about his family life and went on vacation with his wife and four children for 6 weeks each year. The family grave in Munich's old south cemetery has been preserved, in which Felix Friedrich's parents Wilhelm and Katharina are also buried. His grandfather Felix Joseph von Lipowsky , whose grave has also been preserved, was buried in the cemetery.
