Konrad Kreißelmeyer

Konrad Kreißelmeyer (* 1877 in Ergersheim , † 1954 in Augsburg ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Career

After high school, law studies and doctorate, he entered the Bavarian civil service in 1907 and was a consultant in the government of Swabia in 1933 . Kreißelmeyer, who refused to join the NSDAP in the Third Reich , remained in office but was no longer promoted. So after the war he was available as an unencumbered civil servant. On May 25, 1945 he was appointed provisional president of Swabia by the American military government . On September 12, 1945, with retroactive effect to July 1, 1945, on the basis of a resolution by the Council of Ministers, he was assigned to the post of District President of Swabia. Kreißelmeyer remained in office until December 31, 1948. He died in Augsburg in 1954.
